On the first page of our first grade book there was a drawing of a horse and a riddle that said "Oya throw the ball at Ata" which rhymed with the word horse in Turkish. That's when I started drawing nothing but horses at first, and then other subjects. While in Galatasaray Highschool, I became more interested in drawing/painting and with a friend exposed my works during my senior year. After graduating, I went to Paris to study fine arts but missed the registration and settled for taking architecture for a year. Without stable work and school being out often because of student movements, I had lots of time to paint on sidewalks with colored chalk. By the next school year, I ended up moving to Los Angeles and later became a computer programmer/analyst instead. Subsequently my interest in fine arts dwindled to just drawing or painting on paper small enough to fit on a small desk, as a spare time activity. I placed a good majority of them in the pages linked below: - Drawings 12, all in charcoal or pencil on paper. - Paintings 10, all in pastel on paper. ![]() Please direct questions and comments to webmaster@montanaonline.net |
