I think I was in 5th grade when I wrote my first poem by adding a few more lines
to what I had remembered from a previously memorized poem and had become
become a 'poet'. :)  During my boarding school years, I had written a handful of
them including some in French, which we were learning so intensely. Someday
I may find them in a box somehwere in the house and publish a few here. It was
during those years when I had developed a taste for my  favorite contemporary poet Orhan Veli Kanik and my favorite folk poet Karacaoglan.

After I left my native country, most of the poems I wrote were in English, which I
published in three parts, according to where I was living when I wrote them, as:

    - California poems     32, all in English.

    - Washinton poems   34, all in English except for one in German.

    - Montana poems       19, in Turkish.

Warning!  People sensitive to strong/adult language should avoid these pages
as some poems may contain expressions that might be considered as such.
